In today's
world technology and its proper use can make all the difference. CNC Industries
has been focused on using Leading-Edge technology to its advantage
since its inception. We believe our proficient use of technology
is what really sets us apart from the rest.
At CNC Industries, we focus on
better manufacturing through better processes. To
achieve the highest level of performance possible we have custom
designed an extremely robust MRP system. This system includes
Info-Stations at every workstation throughout the company and has
enabled us to maintain
a significant advantage over other machine shops. With
flexibility in controlled processes such as quoting, ordering,
scheduling, process planning, routing, machining, finishing,
assembly, fabrication, inspecting, shipping, time cards, and many other areas, CNC
Industries is able to produce quality parts faster, more
reliably and more cost effectively
than its competition.
To meet the complex requirements of today's extremely competitive
and fast paced world of manufacturing requires tremendous attention
to detail. At CNC Industries the combination of using
Best Practices with Leading-Edge Technology and a Scalable
Infrastructure adds up to: Precision Machining at its

Distributed MRP System |
What it does: Collects,
organizes, and reports mission critical information
Why it’s important:
Cost Savings – Lowers
the overhead which equals savings for our customers
Delivery – Ensures
jobs start on time, finish on time, and ship on time
Quality – Tracks
every job, from start to finish, to ensure repeatable quality
throughout the entire process.
Short Description:
In order to process
the more than 1 million component parts shipped annually and
keep a 0.03% or less scrap rate, it is important to have a very
efficient way of collecting, organizing, viewing and reporting
the vast information which is needed. To this end CNC Industries,
Inc. has created it's own software to handle the record keeping. The database known as “Job Manager
II” has
facilitated a fast growth rate while minimizing the overhead staff
required to keep up with the information flow.

programs are loaded onto machines faster, information is gathered
more accurately, and problems are solved more efficiently.
Information is secured through multiple methods, automated
virus sweeps, file back-up routines, and redundant hard-ware
architecture ensures that confidential information stays confidential
and that data loss is virtually eliminated. Maintaining a high
level of computer knowledge in our office staff enable us to
run an efficient office without the need for computer expertise
to be hired from outside sources. |

In order to manage and maintain the thousands of documents that
we deal with, CNC has developed a custom-made software solution
for storing and retrieving documents electronically. Since
the documents are strictly controlled and maintained electronically,
it virtually eliminates the possibility of obsolete documents
creeping into processes. The electronic documents are readily
available at access points all throughout the shop. Confidential
or otherwise sensitive documents are password protected and
available on a need-to-know basis. |

us to maintain a shorter lead time than our competitors.
Quality – Good
electronic files created through our CAD/CAM programs ensure that
we run high quality parts at all times.
Short Description:
At the heart of any CNC machine is the CAD/CAM system. At
CNC Industries we have access to many different programs that are
kept up to date with all of the latest development technologies. 3d
and 2d programming capabilities ensure that no matter what the
part is, we have the right program for the job. Advanced
features in our programs allow us to handle the most difficult
parts with ease. Simpler parts may be optimized to
decrease price and lead time. Either way we are ready to
handle any project that comes our way. |

Digital
Sign Display |
What it does: Displays
custom messages from the Office into the shop
Why it’s important:
Cost Savings – The
more information employees have with respect to cost issues,
the more everyone can help reduce costs
Delivery – The
display shows monthly statistics
with respect to on-time shipments
Quality – Conveys
up to the minute information on numerous important business
metrics
Short Description:
Using a Digital Sign Display in our shop facility allows CNC Industries
to quickly convey important messages to the entire company.
A state of the art LCD monitor connected to a server side software
package allows a convenient and easy way to update the system
with the latest performance information.
The benefits of having the entire company "in the know" are
far reaching and go a long way towards CNC Industries Goal
of Zero defects.

Company
Intranet |
What it does: Maintains
message boards for communication between shifts
Why it’s important:
Cost Savings – Rapid
access to vital information helps eliminate wasted time
Delivery – Any issues that
may potentially delay production can be quickly sorted out
through the message board.
Quality – Quality issues
are handled immediately and notices are posted to reflect changes
that may have occurred.
Short Description:
Information is increasingly critical to all aspects of business.
Using the standard internet format and feel, CNC Industries
has created an intranet for the
passing of important information between work shifts
and management. To the extent possible,
CNC Industries’ goal is to provide information in “real-time”. By making maximum use of modern technology, communication
issues faced by most machining
facilities are eliminated. Information
flow is facilitated through a website hosted internally
and accessible to key personnel. In the end all businesses,
including machine shops, rely on quick, efficient, and reliable
communication. At CNC Industries, placing
a high priority on technology allows us to use tools
normally associated with much larger companies. |

Industrial
Two-Way Radios |
What it does: Provides reliable in-facility communication
between key personnel
Why it’s important:
Cost Savings – Facilitates
immediate communication between personnel
Delivery – Improves worker
efficiency and start-up time on jobs
Quality – Provides immediate
feedback on important questions and issues
Short Description:
In today’s fast paced world, communications is extremely
important. In 1996 CNC Industries experimented with two-way
radios as a way of providing immediate communication between supervisors
and management. What started as an experiment with a few
radios has evolved into dozens of radios being used on a continuous
basis. As with all of our equipment, our focus has
been on using high-quality, durable radios that can take the wear
and tear of a busy environment. While it may seem like a
trivial thing, our use of two-way radios has saved countless steps,
has increased overall efficiency and over the years has saved a
huge amount of time.

CNC Machinery |
What it does: Processes raw material into finished parts
Why it’s important:
Cost Savings – Allows complex parts to be
run quickly, efficiently, and at a low cost.
Delivery – Parts are made quickly
on multiple machines to speed through each job
Quality – Repeatability, precision,
and rigidity combine to make each part exactly to print
Short Description:
Each CNC Machine that we purchase is thoughoughly analyzed to determine
how it will fit within our company and processes. We use almost
exclusively CNC machines to have flexibility and performance
in each machine that we own. Our processes are made to allow
a part to be made with extreme precision on many different
machines in our facilities. We make sure that each machine
that we purchase will complement our existing machines and
parts that we manufacture. Between 2005 and 2006 we have more
than doubled our milling department and increased our individual
machinery efficiency by almost 70%. This increase in efficiency
has allowed us to make more parts with the same amount of machines
-- the net result is better prices for our customers. Read
more about our individual machines at www.cncind.com/equipment.htm |
