All of our Metrology equipment is purchased new from some of the best companies in the world. Our Wenzel CMM is made in Germany and considered to be one of the best and most accurate CMM machines made. All of our Optical Comparators and much of our other measuring equipment are made by Starrett, a leading USA manufacturer of precision measuring equipment. And just as importantly, all of our measuring equipment is calibrated on a regular basis in accordance with ISO and other Quality Management standards.
As important as our quality assurance personnel and inspection equipment are, equally important is our use of leading-edge technology throughout the company. Our proprietary ERP II software insures that the right things happen at the right time during each phase of the manufacturing process. The Cordax® Discovery CMM from Sheffield Measurement bas been adopted by hundreds of manufacturers around the world over the last decade and is the original shop floor CMM.
In place of air bearings Discovery uses hardened machine tool re-circulating ball bearings running at just a fraction of their rated load. This contributes to long life and lower maintenance costs in some of the harshest shop environments imaginable.
This CMM is "shop hardened" and designed for use on the shop floor. It can be easily parked next to any operation in the shop for rapid in-process inspection.

Our Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM's) are the backbone of our inspection department. Made in Germany, the Wnezel CMM is one of the most accurate Coordinate Measuring Machines made.
Additionally we use the latest software to drive the machine. Whenever possible we measure parts to the very same Solid Model that they were machined to. By doing so many issues and errors can be eliminated.
Our CMM's feature the latest version of PC-DMIS, an industry leader in CMM software.

All of our tools are pre-set off-line on a tool pre-setter. The Elbo-Controlli pre-setter very accurately measures tool lengths and diameters. It is connected to our machine tools via ethernet. This means that all of the tooling data is fed electronically to each machine.
Pre-setting tools off-line saves a tremendous amount of set-up time on every job we run. It also greatly reduces the chance for errors.
The Inspection department at CNC Industries uses the best measuring tools available. The company has a broad selection of manually operated as well as automated measuring tools.
As with all of our inspection tools, they are calibrated on a regular schedule in compliance with ISO9001-2000, AS9100, MIL-Q-9858A, and other quality standards.

Optical comparators are used to accurately measure profiles and surface features by projecting a magnified image on a screen. Each of the Starret optical comparators were purchased brand-new.
